thehraav

Pronounced as ʈʰɛʱ.ɾäːʋ (ठहराव) is a Hindi word that means pause, stillness, a gentle settling

Thehraav, the art studio

The studio began as a quiet return—to art, to self, to slowness.

Here, work is unhurried. It listens, lingers, and grows at its own pace. Each piece is a story. Not always loud, but always honest.

This space is for those who seek more than décor—for those who feel, who notice, who want to live with art that makes them pause.

About the artist

I’m Mansi—a self-taught printmaker carving stillness into paper, one linocut at a time.

My work is slow, textured, and rooted in feeling. While I also create digitally, it’s my hand-carved prints that hold the most of me—guided by philosophies like wabi-sabi, yutori, and thehraav.

I make art in the in-between moments—when the tea simmers, when the house quiets, when something unnamed begins to stir.

Through each piece, I offer pause. A space to breathe. A reminder to live slow.

  • Stillness over speed

We don’t rush. Each piece is made with intention, and sometimes, that means taking time. You’ll feel it in the work.

  • Depth over décor

Our art doesn’t just fill walls—it keeps company. It tells stories, holds memory, and invites reflection.

  • Imperfect beauty

Smudged edges. Untrimmed borders. Reused scraps. We believe in the beauty of what’s real and unfinished.

He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.

  • We seek & build connections...

This isn’t a factory. It’s a studio of one. Every piece is made by hand or heart, and often wrapped by both. When you buy from Thehraav, you’re not just a customer—you’re part of a slower, more meaningful exchange.

  • ...and support your sustainable side

We reuse, repurpose, and rethink. Our collage works give second life to abandoned materials. Our packaging avoids excess. Our pace is mindful, not mass-produced.
